According to news sources, Golden Glen Creamery has issued a voluntary recall of some of its butter products due to the discovery of possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The company announced the voluntary recall after the Washington State Department of Agriculture found evidence of Listeria after conducting a sample test of the product. The recalled products are called “Herbes de Provence Butter” or “Northwest Mushroom Trio Butter” and have a code 767 on the top of the product label. The butter has been sold from Nov. 7 through Nov. 28.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the product to date.
