Two officers of the Los Angeles Police Department were injured Saturday in a vehicle pursuit of a domestic violence suspect, according to recent news reports.
The two officers were responding to a call around 10 p.m. from a residence at Olive and 108th streets. They saw the suspect escape from a window on the second story, then exit via a vehicle. Officers followed him for about 13 minutes to Broadway and 91st Street.
The two officers hit a retaining wall at Central Avenue and 96th Street around 10:15 p.m. They were transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition, according to an official of the Southeast Station. They are currently recovering.
The suspect surrendered to other officers at the scene. He was booked on felony evading and suspicion of felony evading.
