According to news sources, a previous recall of Ocean Spray Dried Cranberry products has been expanded after tiny metal fibers were discovered in five additional lots of the packaged food.
The Food and Drug Administration said that the recall involves five lots of the packaged Original Flavor Craisins Dried Cranberries after tiny metal fibers were found in the product. The recalled cranberry packages include the 5 ounce, 10 ounce and 48 ounce packages. The packaged products have the UPC code 00293-000, 29456-000 and 29464-000, and 00678-318.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of the product.
Consumers with the product should save their UPC and Best By Date labels for a replacement coupon and discard of the package and stop using it immediately. For additional information consumers can contact the company at (800-662-3263).
