Turkey Breast Product Recalled Due to Mislabeling

By Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer on October 27, 2011

About 2,325 pounds of turkey breast products made by Kuck’s Turkey Farm are being recalled due to mislabeling, according to recent news sources.

The product was made in St. Marys, Ohio and contains wheat and soy, known allergens which, if consumed by those with sensitivities, can cause an allergic reaction. The wheat and soy are not declared on the label of the product.

The products subject to recall are cartons containing 7- and 8-lb. packages of “AMISH HERITAGE “ROTISSERIE SEASONINGS” TURKEY BREAST.”

These products have the number P-34592 inside the USDA inspection mark and are labeled with sell by dates from October 9, 2011 through November 28, 2011. The undeclared ingredients were discovered by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Inspection Services during a regular labeling review. No illnesses in relation to this recall have been reported as of yet.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, I encourage anyone experiencing reactions to this product to seek medical attention. In my line of work as a product liability lawyer, I know how important proper labeling can be. Proper labeling ensures the safety of the consumer and makes it easier for consumers to make the right choices in regards to their health. I hope that no one is sickened by consuming this product.

Ham Recalled Over Listeria Concerns

By Los Angeles Personal Injury Lawyer on September 28, 2011

Another Listeria contamination fear has caused a recall of Compliments brand Sensations Old-Style Smoked Ham, according to recent news sources.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Les Cuisines Gaspesiennes de Matane Ltee are conducting the recall voluntarily. No illnesses have been reported in association with the product.

The products affected are sold in 175 g packages with the UPC 6 23682 10628 2, Lot Code: 230 87, and Best Before: 2011NO13. They were sold in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause a life-threatening infection. Those who are elderly, pregnant, very young, or with weakened immune systems are at a higher risk.

As a Los Angeles personal injury lawyer, consumer health is something that I am very conscious of and I know that even with tough rules and regulations on manufacturers mistakes can still be made. I encourage anyone who is experiencing the symptoms of Listeriosis to seek immediate medical attention. The product liability lawyer at our law firm sincerely hope that no one has been sickened by consuming the recalled ham.
