According to news sources, Subaru vehicle models such as the 2012 Legacy, Outback and Impreza are part of a major recall announced by the company due to faulty brakes that reportedly cause “greater than usual” brake travel.
The company has already sold approximately 3,000 vehicles of the new model year in North America already, while receiving about 130 complaints related to excessive brake travel. The faulty brakes are likely a result of faulty brake master cylinders, the company said.
There have been no reported injuries in relation to the faulty brakes. However, the company has reportedly confirmed the issue and has issued its U.S dealers a “stop-sell” order while it investigates the issue further.
The company has said that the issue takes about an hour to fix.
