Mercedes Benz has announced a recall of some of their vehicles after reports that a fuel filter may have leaking issues, according to recent news reports.
Approximately 6,872 of the cars are subject to recall. Among them are the E-, GL-, ML- and R-Classes of the 2011 model year. The 2012 model year S-Class is also subject to recall.
The problem is with the diesel fuel filter, which may leak around the heading component. This increases the risk of a fire. It also poses a threat if it were to spill on the highway, creating a higher risk for a crash.
