According to news sources, about 55,000 sets of LED flashlights have been recalled after it was found that the flashlights can overheat while in use, posing a burn or fire hazard as a result.
Target announced the recall in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission after it was discovered that the flashlights could overheat, causing them to potentially melt or smoke. The recalled sets include 6 flashlights per set and have a UPC code 490021010049, which can be located at the back of the package.
There have been two reports of minor burn injuries and four incidents regarding the flashlights overheating.
